Intranets at Work

Intranet Conference - London – 22nd September 2010

A one-day event for intranet professionals.

“The intranet should continually be one step ahead of the organization, helping lead staff and management towards new ways of working. The intranet is a process, not a one-time project.” (Jane McConnell, NetStrategy/JMC, author of the annual Global Intranet Trends report)

Intranets should be constantly evolving and continually meet the requirements of the organisation they serve. It is, however, difficult for small, tightly resourced intranet teams to keep up with the pace of evolution and change in many organisations. This combined with the ever-growing demand to do more with less makes the job of managing today’s intranets a highly challenging one.

This event will focus on intelligent and tangible solutions which you can take back and implement tomorrow; ideas that will not take months to plan and which will not require massive resources.

Our programme will feature: short, to-the-point sessions with practitioners sharing their experiences and advice and a number of sessions with “hype-free” expert input on pressing issues such as measurement,  mobile intranet strategy and social media strategy; examples of what has worked for others and the issues you should consider.

Why attend?

  • Learn from experienced peers who have done it before
  • Learn how to win management support, i.e. through demonstrating the value of investing in the intranet
  • Gain inspiration from tried-and-tested intranet governance models
  • Learn how to drive intranet projects using information and knowledge you already have (search logs etc.)
  • Improve intranet usability
  • Get a grip on social media: strategy, policy, successfully implemented examples and what to avoid
  • Learn how improved collaboration can help your projects
  • Network! Meet experienced peers and experts in an informal setting ideal for networking. This event will connect you with other intranet professionals with similar challenges.

… and much more! Take a look at the programme below – a few programme points still TBC – and follow the updates on Twitter: #iaw10.
